Fall Book and Bake Sale

Want to help out at the upcoming Fall Book and Bake Sale? Contact Carol Watches at 781-829-9158 or email at cdw855@msn.com or let the front desk at the library know. The book and bake sale is Saturday, November 8th from 10 AM until 2 PM. We generally arrive around 9:30-9:45- you can use the side entrance. There is a little set up to do-mainly the baked goods. We need to label and price them. The first hour is busy! At 2 PM we draw the raffle basket winners and do some clean up. Let us know if you'd like to help. It's fun. Caution- you'll end up buying books if you help out.

Also, don't forget to bring your books for our sale on the Nov 8th and the on-going book sale. Books should be in good condition, but no textbooks or magazines. We also accept and sell videos and CDs.

8th Annual Gift Baskets Raffle

We are starting to get donations for our upcoming Gift Baskets Raffle. It's the 8th year we are doing this and it is still going strong, and still popular. This is a great fundraiser for our group and we hope you'll help us out by donating a "basket" or item to be put in a basket, or just stopping by the library from October 25th until November 8th to purchase raffle tickets.

We'd also love to have volunteers to help set up the baskets. We will probably meet either Thursday(23) or Friday (24) to pull everything together. Saturday morning the 25th we will set everything out for display.

Here's some ideas for baskets:

- Thanksgiving themed basket
- Children's games/puzzles/books
- A basket with a regional/country theme
- A craft item
- A baked good
- Gift certificate to a business
